A Mission to Refresh and Restore
Why I choose this work.
Vibrance Center Philosophy...
First, I believe that treating everyone, including ourselves, with unconditional love, benefits both the giver and the receiver. I judge no one and believe that even the worst things in our lives can turn out to be the best things. As crazy as that sounds, I've seen this turn many times. There's more, but you get the idea. You're safe here.
Second, I practice and teach holistic stress relief. This means I help you find your happy place and help you find your way back when you lose your way, while teaching you how to navigate your way through your emotional maze.
Third, I respect mainstream culture. I respect the medical community, business community, psychological community, blue collar, white collar, striped collar, and rainbow collars. Everyone is respected here, everyone has divine purpose on Earth. I help you find yours.
Fourth, Reiki helps your body to release your the amzaing healing abilities of your parasympathetic nervous system, guide you out of fight or flight, which keeps your immune system on low battery mode.
Fifth, my rates rest at market value but have never turned anyone away because they cannot pay for services. Many times those who need Reiki most can afford it least. I received free sessions and traded for them in the beginning and look how it worked out! It all works out, some who can afford services pay me and tip me very well.
Sixth, I formed a nonprofit because I felt being a nonprofit would help this organization reach more people. Indeed it has opened many doors.
To holistically unleash human potential.
To contribute to building a thriving community by building the individuals, families, and organizations within it through holistic education, services, and retreats.
I found that viewing my life as something I chose, rather than trying to understand why my childhood had to be such a traumatic mess, helped me own it. Owning it helped me learn the life lessons that richly blessed my life.
From the parents way too young to have children, to parents who were otherwise occupied instead of noticing me, to a father who subscribed to violence for solutions to behavior caused by childhood trauma, to losing a brother, to marrying into a worse mess, finally believing in the devil because I met her in my mother-in-law, to having a husband attempt suicide in front of the family while the boys were 6, 8, 10, & 12 years old, to being an emotional mess in general, to seeing two sons become addicted to opiates, trying to help the other two not lose it, all the while attempting to resolve the conflict in my mind that my life really turned out differently than the one I imagined, all somehow came together in a good way.
Rising above the trauma of my childhood, marriage, and motherhood, to find a life rich with wisdom, blessings, and contribution could only happen by owning my misfortune. I asked myself, if I had planned it this way, why would I have done such a thing?!
The drive to make sense of it all drove me to study, formally and informally for six years, how emotions function within our energy field. I wanted to find a universality (is that a word?), where we, at our core, regardless of our gender, ethnicity, age, culture, social class, or other categorization, are the same. That universal core is in our energy field, channels, and centers.
The response to stress is the same in all of us as well. It just manifests a little differently depending on what we stress about. This life has been quite a journey so far. I'm grateful to be able to offer a little light for your path.
Much love to you,
Strengthening the fiber of our community
Our mission is to release people from vulnerability and return them to control over their lives. Vulnerability comes in many forms. Vulnerability almost always comes from some form of toxic relationship and almost always results in losing your personal power. I know from experience that through holistic means, you can shift into a life full of loving relationships. Had I known then what I know now, I could have saved my marriage and saved my family from many years of turmoil. Although, had I not had to find my way through that mine field blind, I would not have learned how to guide others through their challenges.
Theodore Roosevelt, stricken with asthma as a child, one day decided that his mind was stronger than his body and well, you know how that turned out. We have that power within. We work to help you tap that power.
Through a bachelor's degree in Psychology from Michigan State University, 55 credit hours of health science classes at Indiana University, Master's work in Strategic Communication at Purdue, all the while obsessively seeking quantum physics education, I have learned that it all comes down to feeling sound, grounded, safe, and proceeding with faith that it all turns out for the good of your soul. Our work makes that process much easier to navigate for our clients!
Because some of us struggled alone through our own trauma, so we strive to be a resource for those trying to navigate through what might feel like an emotional boobie trap. Life gets better. I promise!
Why I choose this work.
Everyday I choose to come back and continue our mission.
I believe that we are all in this life experience together. Choices we make and actions we take affect everyone around us. We are in sync with each other. We believe we have an obligation as humans to other humans, to everything in our environment, and beyond, to operate at the highest level of functioning possible. If we can show others how to increase their functioning, and assist in releasing them from their vulnerability, our community is going to increase its functioning, which will result in:
~ Boosting business,
~ Improving services,
~ Reduced road rage,
~ Creating happier employees and happier families,
~ Reducing crime,
~ Definitely increase the fun!
The first step on the road to a better community resides within us. The next is where we work. See the Corporate Culture page for more on that.
Before you go there, I found a wonderful example of how we affect each other. Have you heard the term "entrainment?" This explanation of the term works for our purposes.
What is Entrainment ? - Be Well by Dr. Frank Lipman
May 10, 2010 - The article tells us that our body contains an autonomic mechanism that syncs us up with strong, external rhythms, pulses or beats, a phenomenon known as entrainment. We are not aware of it most of the time. The relationship between the external rhythms and our inner rhythms or pulses is inseparable.
